Campus Volunteers
At Pilot Point ISD, we believe it takes a village to raise a Bearcat. Our campus volunteers are an extension of our school family — reading with students, supporting classroom projects, helping at events, and cheering on our Bearcats at every turn. Whether you have an hour a month or a few hours a week, your time makes a real difference in a student's day. We'd love to have you join us!
How to Get Started
Becoming a PPISD campus volunteer is easy. Follow these steps:
- Complete the online volunteer application (link provided by your campus office)
- Clear a background check, required annually for all volunteers
- Check in at the front office with a photo ID each time you visit campus
- Coordinate with your student's teacher or the campus front office to find opportunities that fit your schedule
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to get involved across our four campuses:
- Classroom support — reading buddies, small-group help, project assistance
- Campus events — field days, book fairs, carnivals, and celebrations
- Front office & hospitality — greeting visitors, staff appreciation events
- PTO / booster clubs — fundraising, concessions, spirit activities
- Mentoring — building relationships with students who benefit from extra encouragement
- Special events — field trips, athletics, fine arts performances
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Background check cleared through the district's approved screening vendor
- Sign in/out at the campus front office for every visit
- Follow all campus safety and visitor procedures

Booster Clubs
Many of our student organizations thrive thanks to the support of parent-led booster clubs — including Band, Athletics, Shooting Club, and FFA. These volunteers play a big role in helping our students succeed. Interested in joining? Reach out to the club sponsor to find out how you can help.
Community Engagement
Pilot Point ISD has thrived for more than a century because of our strong ties with families and community members. A prosperous community and a strong school system go hand in hand, and we look forward to engaging with stakeholders through a variety of events and committees. Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat — every member of our community belongs, whether or not you have children in our schools.
