Pilot Point ISD SCHOOL HEALTH ADVISORY COUNCIL (SHAC)

The Pilot Point ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group of dedicated community members, parents, educators, and health professionals who work together to promote the health and well-being of our students.

  • The SHAC serves as an advisory body to the district, providing recommendations on health education, physical education and activity, nutrition services, school health services, and overall student wellness. Our goal is to ensure that all Pilot Point students have access to programs and resources that support their physical, mental, and emotional health.

    • Review and recommend health education curriculum and instruction
    • Promote healthy eating habits and physical activity
    • Address student health and safety concerns
    • Support mental health and wellness initiatives
    • Engage families and community partners in student health programs
    • Comply with state and federal wellness policy requirements
  • We welcome parents, community members, and health professionals to join our council. Your voice and perspective are valuable as we work together to create a healthier school environment for all students.
