We're thrilled you're considering Pilot Point ISD for your student! Whether you're new to our community or a longtime neighbor, we can't wait to welcome your family into the Bearcat family. All students of qualifying age living within district boundaries are eligible to attend our schools — and once you're a Bearcat, you're always a Bearcat.
Enrolling for PreK–12th grade is simple and starts online. Just follow the steps below to get your student ready for their first day at PPISD.

Q: Who is eligible to enroll in Pilot Point ISD?
A: Any student of qualifying age who lives within Pilot Point ISD boundaries is eligible to enroll, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.Q: How do I enroll my child?
A: Enrollment begins online through our Parent Portal. Create an account, select "enroll a new student," and upload the required documents.Q: What age does my child need to be to enroll?
A: Children must be 4 years old by September 1 to enroll in PreK (if eligible) and 5 years old by September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten. Contact the district office to confirm your child's eligibility for PreK programs.Q: What documents do I need to enroll my child?
A: Typically required documents include:- Certified birth certificate
- Proof of residency (utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)
- Parent/guardian photo ID
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Social Security card (optional, but helpful)
- Withdrawal form or last report card from previous school (if transferring)
Q: What if I don't have all the required documents yet?
A: Texas law allows students to enroll and begin attending school while documentation is finalized. Contact your campus registrar for guidance on next steps.Q: My child doesn't have complete immunization records. Can they still enroll?
A: Yes. Texas allows for provisional enrollment while records are obtained, and exemptions are available for medical or conscientious objection reasons with proper documentation.Q: Does Pilot Point ISD offer special education services?
A: Yes. If your child has an existing IEP or 504 plan, please bring those documents at enrollment so our special education team can ensure continuity of services.Q: My child receives ESL/bilingual services. Will that continue at PPISD?
A: Yes. Let your enrollment registrar know at the time of enrollment so we can appropriately place and support your student.Q: What if my family is experiencing homelessness or housing instability?
A: Pilot Point ISD ensures immediate enrollment for students experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act, even without typical required documents. Contact our McKinney-Vento liaison for support.Q: We just moved to Pilot Point. What proof of residency do you accept?
A: Accepted documents typically include a current utility bill, signed lease agreement, or mortgage statement in the parent/guardian's name. If you're staying with someone else, an affidavit of residency may be required — contact the registrar for details. -
